UPDATE June 2023. WPA Biennial GM 26th June - Meeting minutes including Election results in Committee section of website Safari dinner - Sat 11th Nov. 2023 Note: information has been shared via Street Reps - please contact them if you have not received these.
The Wonersh Park Association (WPA) is run by volunteer residents, who represent a road or part of a road in the Park. The WPA's principal role is to arrange gardening and maintenance of the common areas. To this end, an annual fee of £50 is currently asked of each household, to fund the gardening and maintenance of the entrance brickwork. Your Committee Member will contact you to ask for the fee and it would be appreciated if you would set up an annual direct debit payable in January.
The roads, grass verges and trees are all owned by Surrey County Council, who are responsible for maintenance. Residents are asked to use the Waverley website (see the 'Park Upkeep" section of this website for details) to report potholes and unsafe trees near their property. Other sections of this website include Committee minutes, Crime Prevention and News.
The WPA specifically does not get involved with planning issues or neighbour disputes, but does ask that residents respect their neighbours privacy with respect to noise and bonfires (especially with regards to wind direction and not on sunny days when other gardens are being enjoyed). Dog mess is still a problem and residents are asked to ensure that appropriate bags are available to all dog walkers, including after dark.
Vehicle speed continues to be a significant concern and residents and their visitors are asked to drive with care and should be especially aware of children, walkers and cyclists. 20's plenty stickers available from yout road representative.
The Wonersh Residents Association (WPA) needs to communicate and consult about neighbourhood issues and collect annual subs for common area gardening and maintenance. Committee Members require their allocated residents names, house address and email address. Your details will be stored on your Committee Member’s private computer. Committee Members will not share emails of other residents without specific consent and will communicate with residents using blind copy (bcc) emails. Please contact your Committee Member to amend or delete your details. Please use the WPA website contact form to contact the Chairman.
