Local Police Contacts
Our main police contact is Sgt Claire Sutherland, Waverley Safer Neighbourhood Team. We have a dedicated Neighbourhood Support Officer (NSO), PC Gavin Greenaway for Cranleigh and surrounding villages which includes Wonersh. His email is [email protected] and is supported by 2 Police Community Support Officers (PCSO), Claire Thayer and Felicity Lock. They all work a varied shift pattern so it is generally best to email [email protected] so any non emergency queries can be passed to one of their team who is in.

Crime Prevention
Police advice is currently:
- Install personal CCTV cameras to deter intruders
- Consider motion sensor lights (but please ensure timers are fitted and also avoid up lights to respect dark skies of Wonersh)
- Secure side/rear gates and doors, and install an alarm. A dog is also seen as a deterrent
- Cycle theft and break in to sheds have been a problem - criminals identity a target in the street and follow them home (cycles should be marked with an ultra violet pen detailing house name and postcode)
- Rogue traders and callers - Cold callers need a Pedlar's certificate which has to be signed by the Chief Constable - turn them away if they do not have one and call 101.
- Scams via letters, phone and internet. Report these to ACTION FRAUD UK on 0300 123040 or online
- Please ensure that you report all crimes to the police so that they can monitor activity and adjust patrols accordingly
If you see a suspicious person or vehicle call 101 immediately.
